We know that this is probably the first time you are shopping for a wedding gown and you probably have a bunch of questions, so we have taken the time to answer some of them to ease your way into a joyous shopping experience and have you tackling wedding dress shopping like a pro! So lets get started!Does your bridal salon require appointments and when should I book my Appointment?
Yes, we do work by appointment only, so that we may provide you with the best possible dress shopping experience! We recommend contacting us 1-2 weeks in advance to schedule an appointment. You can call us at 856-547-5490 or through our website. If you are the bride, please note we only work with one bride at a time to ensure you have our undivided attention and to make your shopping experience as memorable as possible for you, your family and friends.
How much time will I have to try on dresses?
Your private viewing experience allows for 60 minutes with one of our bridal consultant who will help you find the gown of your dreams. If you or your guests require special accommodations, please let us know in advance so we can ensure your needs are met.
Should I bring pictures of what I like?
Absolutely, we always love it when our brides come in with photos of gowns that they like, as well as their Pinterest board. Our staff will also ask the bride a series of questions to get a better idea of her style, which will help her bridal specialist make better choices of the gowns for her to try during her appointment. We just ask that you keep an open mind and have fun while shopping for your bridal gown.
What sizes will I be able to try on?
Simplicity boutique has a wide range of sizes for you to try. While The majority of our gowns are size 6 to 16 we do also have gowns 18 to 24 in stock. Please keep in mind whether the gown is too big or too small for our bride we will do our best to clip you into the dress to give you the best example of how your bridal gown will look on you the day of your wedding.
How many people can I bring to my appointment?
We know that it’s the most important dress that you’ll ever buy and wear, and you want to make sure you make the perfect choice. But sometimes having 10 different opinions makes it harder for you to make that decision as to how you want to look on your special day. We ask that you bring no more than 3 to 4 of your most trusted family and friends to aid you in making the right decision.
Also, Simplicity Boutique is a very small personal boutique in which the shop for your wedding gown. You will find the atmosphere very soothing and relaxing, kind of like going to a spa. It is a perfect environment for you to relax and enjoy the experience of finding the perfect gown. We hope to make it as memorable as possible for you and your loved ones.
What is your store policy on bringing small children to my appointment?
As much as we love little ones we encourage you not bring them to your bridal appointment. You the bride need to stay focused on finding your perfect gown and with little ones sometimes they can be distracting to you and what you’re here for. If you want to include your children in the process we suggest bringing them to your first fitting appointment so that they can be a part of your special day.
What should I bring to my appointment and what can’t I bring?
You should bring to your appointment your wonderful ideas and an open mind as to how you want to look on your wedding day. We also suggest that you wear nude color underwear so your guests don’t see you in your under rues and a strapless bra in case it is needed.
What not to bring…Simplicity Boutique is located in historical Haddon Heights New Jersey, and the town itself is a dry town. So we can not allow Champagne or other alcoholic beverages to brought into the store.
What is the price range of your gowns?
Our gowns range from $1200-$4000. We also have some overstocked gowns up to 30% to 40% off the original manufacturer suggested retail price
Can I purchase off the rack?
Yes you can! We take extremely great care of all of our gowns. Just about every gown in our store is able to be purchased off the rack. So if your wedding date is soon approaching we have you covered. Also purchasing off the rack may come with a slight discount depending on the gown you choose.
Can I take pictures of the gowns I’m interested in?
You absolutely can take photographs in our store, we only ask that you take photos of the gown that you are considering as your wedding gown. If you take Photos of every gown you’re in it will limit you as to how many gowns you can try on at your appointment. Our goal is to get you into as many gowns as we can during your one hour appointment with us and to find you the perfect gown.
I said yes to the dress…what’s next?
Congratulations on saying yes to your perfect dress! Upon saying yes to your bridal gown we will take your measurements, complete your paperwork, and we require a 50% deposit to order your gown. The Remaining balance is due when the gown arrives into the store. If you are purchasing off the rack we require payment in full.
All accessories, bridesmaids gowns, mother of the bride/groom gowns or any of our evening gowns are payment in full at time of purchase.
What form of payment do you take?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, personal checks, or cash. Please note that personal checks are not excepted as final payment unless authorized by the owner of the store.
Once my dress is ordered how long will it take to come in?
Depending on the designer of your gown could take anywhere from 5 to 8 months to come in. Most of our designers also offer a rush service in the event that your wedding is right around the corner.
Does your shop have an in-house seamstress?
Congratulations on finding the perfect dress, now it’s time to get the perfect fit!
Yes, we do have in-house alterations. Our seamstress is the best in the business and only works on gowns purchased at Simplicity Boutique. It is very important to us that our brides have the best experience from purchasing their gowns straight thru the alteration process.
Does your shop clean and preserve wedding gowns?
Yes, Simplicity Boutique works with Wedding Gown Preservation Co., out of Endicott New York who have been in business since 1913. The cost is $300.00 at the time of drop off. You can include up to 3 items, such as veil,belt,slip, etc.
